Listen to Godwin giving Talks and Instruction on Meditation
I am very happy that we are now able to include live recordings of Godwin's talks given in various countries, and in various contexts. Those who knew him will be reminded of his presence amongst us; and for those who didn't have the chance to meet him, listening to him is the next best thing.
Anyone listening to these talks will soon become aware of Godwin's great compassion and wisdom, as he provides meditators with the tools they need to lessen their suffering, increase their joy, and cultivate the path that leads to final peace.
The talks have many of Godwin's favourite stories, which he used so effectively to illustrate the points he was trying to get across, and also provide many examples of his wit and humour.

All of these talks have been converted from cassette recordings that were made at Godwin's talks. The quality is therefore variable, as the tapes have suffered some decay over time. Some of the tapes when they reached me had already been edited, possibily on the cassette recorder, and sometimes very poorly, so I have had to edit them again so that they flow more easily, but this has resulted in small sections having been lost in the process.
In nearly all cases it has been necessary to edit the talks to take out irrelevancies, dead-ends, and so on, which naturally enough occur in dialogue situations, which most of the files contain. It has also been necessary to cut out sections of the questions, because the fact is that in many cases what is said in the audience is inaudible on the tapes. I have therefore shortened most of the questions, while leaving in Godwin's response to them.
As will be seen from the listings many of these talks were made in Singapore and we are very grateful to Bhante. S. Dhammika and all at the Buddha Dhamma Mandala Society who first of all had the foresight to make these recordings, and secondly the generosity to make them available to us.
If anybody has any more tapes of Godwin's talks that are in reasonable condition, they could send them to me and if possible I will include them here, first contact me at .
